Under the vision and leadership of His Highness Sheik Saud Receptacle Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Member of the Supreme Council, the Emirate of RAK continues to see steady growth in both the commercial and travel sectors. Due to this growth, there is increased traffic at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
The Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) International Airport, which was established in 1976 by His Highness Sheik Saqr container Mohammed AI Qasimi, the late Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, is celebrating 35 years of existence.
The air terminal has operated safe, sheltered, and effective jobs throughout the years and has benefited from constant advancements in traveler, cargo, and aircraft advances.
The current airport is expected to expand further in the years to come, but for now it consists of two passenger terminal buildings, a payload terminal office, runways, a cover, a fuel ranch, an administration for putting out fires at the airport, offices for maintaining airplanes, support offices, access streets, and vehicle exits, as well as a flying training facility.
The air terminal, which is about 18 kilometres from the city, is not only modern with state-of-the-art equipment and offices, but it also has a 3,760 metre-long runway that can accommodate the largest aeroplane currently in operation
