𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬:
10+ years of professional experience in (one or more) of the following areas: climate change mitigation/adaptation, green transition, renewable energy, circular economy, biodiversity protection and/or urban development;
Master’s degree in fields such as environmental science, natural resources management, (environmental) law, (environmental) economics, international relations or political science;
Excellent command of written & spoken English language. Knowledge of Korean language is an asset.

𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:
5+ years of professional experience in managing international teams of experts, including in delivering complex, policy-related, multi-year projects involving a variety of stakeholders;
5+ years of experience in formulating, negotiating &implementing environmental policies / green diplomacy;
5+ years of professional experience working closely with national and/or sub-national government entities & with other stakeholders such as CSOs, the private sector, academia & research centres;
Knowledge of the EU Green Deal and the EU’s policies relating to climate change, environment, green economy and energy as well as of EU-Korea relations;
Previous professional experience in South Korea would be a strong asset;
Previous experience with EU-funded projects would be strongly preferred.
